Before the eruption of Mount Fulgurus, Ember spent her days on the mountainside, tending to her flock of snow-sheep with her twin sister Aurora. It was their duty to protect the sheep from hungry predators and excess exposure to the sun’s heat—but they never could have predicted the catastrophe that incinerated their life’s purpose.
After the unstoppable lava flows claimed her snowy companions, Ember began searching desperately for any survivors. She engineered armor that allowed her to withstand the heat of the not-yet-cool surface, but the only thing she found was magical scientific equipment half-buried in the wreckage of the volcano. Her sister and her flock were no where to be found. Heading south, Ember has harnessed the heat and rage of Mount Fulgurus, and vows to redirect the fury of the volcano back at whoever so foolishly triggered the eruption.
Her release includes cards and files for both 5E and Daggerheart-compatible versions of six goodies: three fiery companion creatures, a set of flaming handaxes, a helmet that reflects her anger, and a spell that prevents creatures from using their strongest abilities.
We have once again included a card with brief rules on how to use the new Companion mechanic in Daggerheart. They are a bit of a mix between a weapon and a domain card, but we wanted to keep them as simple as possible to not detract from roleplay. We would love to hear what you think of the Companions!
