You Can Help Us Support The Gaming Community

For every bag purchased at Many Worlds Tavern, we donate $1 to various gaming-related nonprofit organizations.  We've committed to a per-sale basis, so from the beginning (and no matter if we make a profit or not) we will be sending donations.  Thanks for participating!  Here are the orgs we're currently working with:

The Spiel Foundation Logo

The Spiel Foundation

"The Spiel Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to making the world a more playful place. We believe play is a powerful and positive force. The more we play together, the better life can be for all involved. We want to build a bigger game table where all are welcome. We believe fun is a universal language that unites us all. We accomplish this goal in a variety of ways. We deliver bundles of games to organizations that serve players of all ages (children’s hospitals, senior centers, shelters, halfway houses, boys and girls clubs, schools, libraries, even prisons).

We have delivered a 5-game bundle to EVERY children’s hospital in all 50 states and Puerto Rico AND… We have delivered game bundles to EVERY nationally accredited senior center in the country!"

House of Afros Capes and Curls Logo

The House of Afros, Capes & Curls

"The House of Afros, Capes & Curls is an organization whose goal is to connect people from diverse backgrounds and build a community based on a shared love of science fiction, fantasy, gaming, and Afrofuturism, while providing a safe space to explore the artistic literary and historic merits of geek culture.

The House was created as a vehicle for POC to build more inclusive environments to engage around seemingly non-traditional spaces such as gaming, comics, science fiction, media, and technology. We want to ensure that the representation of and consumption by POC is normalized rather than seen as an anomaly. We strive to increase representation for adults and youth of color, create programs that build community and create programming that generates a sense of belonging where the community as a whole can discuss pertinent and sensitive issues using science fiction, fantasy, comics, and games as a catalyst for conversation."

Tabletop Gaymers Logo

Tabletop Gaymers

"Tabletop Gaymers Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to address homophobia in the tabletop gaming community by providing educational, social, and networking opportunities for LGBTQ+ (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer) “gaymers” and allies. Tabletop Gaymers has a variety of programs in support of our mission.

GAYMER and ALLY Badge Ribbons – Attendees at gaming conventions and events are provided badge ribbons, buttons, and/or wristbands to self-identify as gaymers or allies. The material is worn to raise awareness, enhance the social environment, promote open and honest discussions, build a community, and provide opportunities for networking.

Queer as a Three-Side Die – Panel series featuring industry leaders talking about various queer aspects of the gaming industry. Panelists share experiences and lead discussions on gender, sexuality, and general diversity topics in gaming from design and publishing to game-play and community.

Gaymer Gatherings – Social events and activities held for gaymers and their allies. The purpose of the events are to provide a safe space for attendees to network, make friends, and share experiences.

Gayme Night – Tabletop Gaymers assists LGBTQ+ Community Centers by donating board games and providing “Gayme Masters” to teach the games. We work with the centers to help establish a recurring event where their patrons have the opportunity to learn and experience these games, socialize, network, and make new friends."

Tabletop Alliance Logo

Tabletop Alliance

"We believe that games can have a profound impact on people. May it be by uncovering a strategy which then shows us how adaptable we can be, thinking outside the box to achieve our goals, learning to be resilient in the face of adversity, or even the simple fact of how to foster great communication with others across difference. To these ends Tabletop Alliance was created to use gaming to enhance the educational advancement of educational and community programs and institutions. We believe that by equipping and developing leaders in these programs and institutions with both physical games and developmental opportunities that we can unleash their expertise for the betterment of others.

The promotion and advancement of education and communities through the incorporation of games into programs and institutions.
