Sustainability and Packaging

Our Packaging
It’s not easy to be sustainable as a small business, and while we're far from perfect, we've made it our mission to do what we can within our means to be as sustainable as possible. See below for sustainability information for our various pieces of packaging!

Shipping Packaging
Our single-bag shipping boxes are perfectly sized for holding your favorite protected playing cards once they are finished flying around the country. They can hold over 500 unprotected playing cards, or around 280 cards in sleeves. If you are wondering, we tested with UltraPro and Dragon Shield, but not with double-sleeving. Send us pictures if you find a second life for our shipping boxes as deckboxes! All of our boxes are made from approximately 30% to 50% recycled material and are 100% recyclable. Read about their certifications here.

Flexible Packaging
Our 12 oz coffee bags are constructed with Tricor Braun’s Biotrē™ 2.0, made with 60% compostable and all renewable film layers and degassing valve body. To compost at home, it is recommended to remove the degassing valve before composting, and then remove the thin remaining film left after composting. Learn more about the material here. Our sample bags are made with 100% certified biodegradable materials. We’d love feedback to find out how well they do in home composting!

Our 12 oz tea bags are not compostable, however they are recyclable through Terracycle's Zero Waste Box program.  You can find a nearby drop-off point here.

Tissue Paper
Our tissue paper from noissue is made with responsibly sourced paper and printed with soy-based inks. They have also created an Eco Packaging alliance to connect business with sustainable packaging. Check out more info here. You can recycle it, but hopefully it is awesome enough that you think about reusing it for your own packaging jobs!
