Wow! This one was excellent! I will probably be ordering a whole bag some time in the future. Bold, and also pulls an excellent shot on my espresso machine even pre-ground. As much as I want to be an espresso aficionado, I am a teacher with little time and a smaller budget (beyond my initial setup), so I was excited that the combination of my bougie espresso machine and this pre-ground coffee pulled some amazing shots.

Underwhelming

Out of all the coffee I only liked "Great old one" enough that I might consider getting a full bag. "Homely House" was very acidic to the point I double checked if I had gotten a light roast and lamplight was fruity, which I do not like. I thought I had removed it for something without a fruity description but I guess not. I do like the tea quite a bit but the instructions are very strange because who steeps half a tablespoon of tea leaves in 12 oz of water? Do these people understand good tea brewing methods? I put much more tea in in a standard mug to steep in order for it to have the same strength as using a yogi Lavender Honey tea bag.

Everything is Great!

I've been tasting each of the coffee sample packs to decide which one I want to purchase a large bag of and it has been so hard to rank them! So far I've tasted The Great Old One, Homely House, Dragon's Nest, and Looking Glass.

So far my ranking is #4 Homely House #3 Dragon's Nest #2 Looking Glass and #1 The Great Old One (although #3 and #2 swap depending on if I make them as drip or espresso!)

I'm looking forward to trying the next pack!!

We've got a simple pour over recipe to go with a very forgiving-to-brew coffee in Homely House. The goal is to use 16 times the amount of water to coffee. Use medium grind coffee and water just off the boil, pour in stages every 30 seconds, and let it drain. Enjoy!
