Echopetals • All throughout the Melorealm, echopetals blossom in bunches when someone makes music. Each flower holds the note it heard when budding, leaving clusters of echopetals to hum in harmonious chords.

Musicians use the blooms to tune their instruments, poets perform while waving echopetal bouquets, and wild creatures rest in the presence of their sweet, steady sound. Even the wind carries their whimsy—every gust sending the melodious leaves aflutter.

Ingredients: Organic white tea, organic cinnamon, organic black peppercorns, organic cardamom, organic fennel, star anise, organic cloves, and natural flavors. Medium caffeine.

To brew, add 1 tbsp of tea to 8 fl oz. (235g) water at 180˚F (82˚C). Steep for 3 minutes and enjoy!

Magic Spell: Frozen Fear

You play a tune from the frigid north, summoning forth a tormented spirit of frost. The spirit emerges from your instrument of choice and remains hovering in your space for the duration. As part of the casting of the spell, all creatures within 30 feet must attempt a Wisdom saving throw. Those that fail become frozen in fear and are paralyzed until the end of their next turn.

Each round while you concentrate on the spell, you may choose to do one of the following as an action:

Frozen Fear. The spirit moves to your rhythm, and a single creature within 30 feet of you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be paralyzed until the beginning of their next turn.

Fearful Scream. You play a chord that echoes through the spirit as a scream. One target within 30 feet of you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or drop whatever it is holding and become frightened for the duration. While frightened by this spell, a creature must take the Dash action and move away from you by the safest available route on each of its turns, unless there is nowhere to move. If the creature ends its turn in a location where it doesn’t have line of sight to you, the creature can make a Wisdom saving throw. On a successful save, the spell ends for that creature.

Frigid Breath. Freezing cold blasts from the spirit’s maw in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 2d8 cold damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Claws of Cold. Make a melee spell attack against a creature or object within 10 feet. On a successful hit, the target takes 2d6 slashing damage and 2d6 cold damage.
